Balgowan Nursing Home based in Hythe, Kent

Balgowan Nursing Home is situated in the village of Saltwood which is located just inland from Hythe. The original building dating from the turn of the century has been extended with the addition of two purpose built wings, providing a pleasant and homely environment in which to live.

We can accommodate up to 33 residents, mainly in single rooms, some with en suite facilities. The spacious accommodation is spread over two floors with lift access to all areas. Each room is tastefully decorated and furnished, however residents may if they wish personalise rooms with their own belongings. We have a large lounge, a smaller television lounge and a conservatory looking out onto a sheltered patio for those perfect summer days, available to residents and their guests at any time.

Residents are cared for, 24 hours per day by a hugely experienced team of Nurses and Care Assistants led by our Manager, Penny Selby. The aim of the staff is to provide the best possible care and ensure that our residents feel safe, secure and comfortable at all times.  All rooms are linked to a high tech nurse call system to enable residents to call staff at any time day or night.
